Here's an interesting and yet while unlikely, still possible thought: Assume, if only for a moment, that you are a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in his sinless, perfect life and documented historical miracles; religious persecution (crucifixion), and subsequent resurrection.
If you were say, captured by Al Qaeda, or any other extremist, fanatical Muslim group, and threatened with your very life only to be spared with your denouncement of your very religious beliefs, would you decry and forsake your God and Creator for the sake of saving your own (flesh and) skin?
