U.S Airways Sued by 6 Muslim Imams; FoxNews' Geraldo Rivera Sympathizes

"At Large" host Geraldo Rivera took a sharp turn to the "left" on Thursday. He was even "welcomed back" by liberal-host Alan Colmes after the segment.

Appearing on Hannity & Colmes, the self-described "Warrior journalist" fervently sided on behalf of the six, Muslim Imam clerics who are suing U.S. Airways for detaining and removing them from a flight from Minneapolis to Phoenix last fall due to what he called "prejudiced discrimination".

Though claiming he sides with both conservatives as well as liberals, he began by acknowledging that surveilling Presbyterians from Kansas doesn't give you any "bang for your buck." Advocating racial & religious profiling, he went on to claim the overreaction of the passengers to the Imams "praying to the Qu'ran as anti-American rhetoric" was overboard. Geraldo asserts "the six, middle-aged guys were the unfortunate by-products of a hysteria that has existed since 9/11 that we have to zealously guard against."

Clearly dancing around today's Politically Correct culture, he feels "they have a sincere beef, and that the airline has to settle because what happened to them was indefensible."

Nevermind that they were seen praying and making a religious scene before boarding. Forget the fact that they might have been testing our nation's resolve to these type of matters in the future by openly praising Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, making anti-American statements, constantly disrupting the cabin once inside by switching seats even when asked to be seated, and requesting seat-belt extensions (which would make wonderful strangulation devices) when none of them is "large" or overweight; Geraldo contends that "there were air-marshals on board, the passengers could have easily overwhelmed them, one of them was blind; to think this crowd was going to take over anything is pretty ridiculous. It shows you how far hysteria can go."

Easy to say since you A) weren't on the flight and b) they were removed before they could have potentially tried to hijack it. Again, just how many terrorists were reported to have been on board each of the four planes crashed on 9/11? Oh, that's right; only FOUR each. And for the record, how many instances have you heard of or witnessed personally before 9/11 Muslim Imams taking out a rug, facing it Due East, and reciting the Qu'ran at an airport gate? Exactly.

This lawsuit reeks of a Jesse Jackson "shakedown" of corporate America by today's stronger, more vigilant force. Quelled by P.C. critics, Muslim clerics are suddenly coming from the woodwork to test the system's responses to such absurd antics while hiding behind our country's Constitutional 1st Amendment rights; rights which the Radical, Islamic Extremist sect would love nothing more to exploit and hold hostage.

While this view may sound paranoid or unpopular to some, I have to agree with Sean Hannity's clear assessment of the facts:

"When they were taken off the plane, the entire plane clapped. There was regular, suspicious behavior. If you're in a line, waiting to get on a plane, you don't joke about a bomb. We all have a responsibility in getting on a plane after 9/11. There are certain behaviors you don't engage in."

Geraldo chimed in, "Were they a threat to the safety of the passengers? You can't single out this one group just because of it's ethnicity."

Maybe not, but in today's age, it's better to be safe and accept the inconviences we face rather than sorry and burying 3,000 more of our citizens. Until we know of another cultural threat who calls for a "Jihad" against our own, willing to kill themselves for martyrdom and 72 virgins in "Paradise", I'll rest easier giving up a little time and knowing I'll reach my final destination in one piece.
